Freeman sent Shane Drohan's middle-middle fastball over the fence in left-center for his first home run of the season. He's started nine consecutive games, bouncing between second and third base, going 7-for-26 (.269) with one triple, one home run, two RBI and five runs scored during that stretch. He and Ezequiel Duran are sharing the hot corner due to Josh Jung (calf) being on the 10-day injured list.

Freeman will draw a fourth straight start after going 2-for-6 with a walk over the previous three contests. Three of those starts have come against left-handed pitching, so Freeman doesn't appear to have solidified himself as a near-everyday player for the Rangers and may be benefiting from a favorable runout of pitching matchups.
